WHISPER WITH THE WIND tells the story of an warmhearted old man, Mam Baldar, who for many years traveled between the mountainous villages in Kurdish Iraq, recording and delivering messages from families separated by war.
One day he gets a request from a high-ranking commander, who asks him to make a recording of his newborn child’s first cry, and his journey to a far-off valley begins.
The movie focuses on the Kurds haunted and exterminated during the regime of Saddam Hussein. The director uses the landscape and natural elements to express the suffering of the people.
