The Federation had juries in 17 different filmfestivals around the World during 2003 and 2004. Most festivals took place in Europe. The juries select a winner of the Don Quijote Award at each festival. The juries usually consist of three members from three different nations. Each jury member is nominated by his or her national federation of film societies and the final decision is taken by the executive committee of the FICC.
